More Than a Painting

I began painting in 2018 during one of the most difficult seasons of my life, following the loss of my child. What began as a place to put emotions that were difficult to express in words gradually became something more—a way of noticing beauty, finding stillness, and reconnecting with the world around me.

Nature became a constant source of inspiration. Rugged mountains, changing seasons, quiet landscapes, delicate botanicals, and the movement of light all remind me that beauty can exist alongside change.

My work has grown to include both acrylic landscapes and alcohol ink botanicals. Though different in style and medium, they share the same intention: to create artwork that feels alive, peaceful, and emotionally connected.

I am especially drawn to the unexpected moments that happen while creating—the way alcohol ink moves beyond complete control, a color that develops differently than expected, or a landscape that begins to carry its own mood. I don't want every piece to tell the viewer exactly what to feel. I want there to be room for you to bring your own memories and meaning to it.

For me, art has become more than something beautiful to place on a wall. It is a reminder to notice what is still here: light, movement, nature, connection, and the quiet moments we can so easily pass by.

My hope is that when one of my paintings finds its way into your space, it brings something meaningful with it—maybe even something you did not know you needed.

A quiet reminder that beauty, hope, and peace bloomeven when the world gets loud.

A reminder that you are not alone.
